Renovation

Renovation and general construction

Old houses here were built by hand, often more than a century ago, and they do not come apart the way a drawing says. Walls are not straight, floors have settled and there is usually something behind the boards that nobody expected.

That is the normal case for us, not the difficult one.

What we take on

Old clay-walled building with a new metal roof, new doors and red arched windows
A clay-walled building on a fieldstone base: new roof, new doors and new arched windows. The clay wall and the stone were left showing.

How it usually goes

  1. We come and look. On an old building this is not a formality — what is under the boards decides the price.
  2. You get a quote with the unknowns named. If something cannot be seen before opening up, we say so rather than pricing a guess.
  3. We work, and we tell you when something changes.Surprises in old houses are normal. Silent invoices are not.

Where we work

Tartu, Tartu County, Valga County and Viljandi County — Otepää to Viljandi, and further when the job is worth the drive.
